I had the great fortune to work with Giulia as she was passing through town with Cirque du Soleil. She’s crazy talented, strong and flexible, and has an incredible sense of movement and flow.

We started off doing some static poses, the standard foot-to-head contortion. Then, once she was warmed up, she just started to move, from one position to the next, ceaselessly and apparently effortlessly bending and diving, leaping and crawling, her hair alternately flying and draped across her body.

It was utterly magical, and captivating, and I am so glad I had this chance to work with her.

She makes it seem so comfortable.
