PhotoShoot Information
Thanks for shooting with NFG!
Overview
A photoshoot is usually a fun time. You show up and do what you're good at, and NFG will take photos of you. When the session is over you'll get all the photos from the session in a private gallery. You'll be able to view and save these low-res proofs, and select which ones you want in high resolution.
There are, of course, more details, and here they are:
Payment and Deposit
When you book a session, NFG will ask for a deposit before the session can be confirmed. Usually the deposit is $50 per person, but you're welcome to pay the entire session cost if you like.
The remaining session cost must be paid before you receive your images edited images. NFG accepts cash and direct deposit. Banking details are:
Bank: ANZ
BSB: 014-295
Acct: 519895808
Acct Name: Lawrence Wright
Please include the shoot date or reason for your payment in the comment!
How to Get There
The NFGstudio is conveniently located near three major freeways and the Ipswich train line. When you arrive for your session, please park on the street in front of the NFGhouse. Come straight through to the blue studio door in the back yard. The address is:
3 Hendren CT, Goodna

How Long it Lasts
Most shoots take an hour of hard work for one person, up to two hours for two people, but increasingly less time for larger groups. Three people take a little more than two hours, four or five people take a little over three hours, etc. Extra people means less down-time, so that someone's working up a sweat all the time.
What to Bring
Bring what you normally take when you do whatever it is you do. Grip, water, a towel, a snack, etc. Bring a few outfits, for variety, and most pole dancers will bring at least one pair of heels. The NFG studio has mirrors and if you might need to apply or fix your face and hair, bring whatever you'll need to do that. For pole shoots, NFG also has metho and rags for keeping the pole fresh.
The most important thing to bring is a list. Either a list of moves you want to get photos of, or a collection of images on your phone, or printed on paper, or something. This is more important than anything else, and if you forget your move list you're going to have a bad time.
Seriously. Make a move list, and don't forget it!
Bad Images
Photography is not perfect. Sometimes things go wrong, sometimes the photographer goes wrong. In every shoot there are bound to be shots that are blurry or bad in ways that cannot be fixed. If and when this happens, NFG is very, very sorry.
Like, really sorry.
But, sadly, nothing can be done. NFG appreciates your understanding, and he's very sorry.
Socks
NFG wears unmatched socks. This is intentional, and you're welcome to mention it.
Model Release
NFG will ask you to fill out a model release. This is a short form that will ask you to detail how you'd like to be identified or tagged when your images are shared, grants permission to NFG to share your images, and assures you that NFG will only use your images to promote his own products and services. If you'd like to see the release before your shoot, just ask NFG.
After the Shoot
A pole shoot is a workout! Don't expect to train or do anything strenuous after a shoot. It's one thing to do your favourite move in class, it's another to do it hard, point your toes, straighten that leg, adjust your hair and then do it again. And again.
Typically your proofs will be made available on nfgphoto.com within 48 hours of your session. NFG doesn't usually pre-select the images, so you may get a hundred or four hundred images per person to choose from. These will be un-edited, and though you can save them and share them, NFG does ask that you either leave the 'unedited' text intact, or mention in your post that the image is unedited, and not representative of NFGphoto's finished work.
The NFGphoto proof gallery has a 'shortlist' feature. You can add and remove images from your shortlist easily. Once you tell NFG the shortlist is ready, and pay for any extra images, he'll prepare them in super-awesome edited high resolution.
Please note that both the proofs and finished images will only be online for a limited time. Neither the proofs nor the finished images will ever be deleted, NFG keeps them forever, (backed up in three places!) but they will not be available online for more than 30 days. If you lose them and need another copy, NFG will probably have them if you ask. (Apologies in advance if weevils eat the hard drives or whatever, sometimes things happen and if you lose your images NFG can't guarantee they can be replaced).
Got it!
Pantheon Information
The Pantheon Project
So you've seen the Pantheon Project and you're going to volunteer your awesome body. That's great!
The Pantheon Project shoots are a lot like normal shoots, with a few twists. In short, here's what you should know:
It's a Nude Thing
No surprises. You'll be naked shortly after arriving at the studio. For a lot of people, this is a new experience, and it'll be really weird and awkward for about three minutes. After that, it's just gettin' on with the task at hand, and most people soon forget they're not wearing clothes.
What to Wear
To the greatest extent possible, please don't wear underwear on your way to the session. If you do, wear the loosest garments you have. Normal underwear leaves lines and marks on the body that can take a long time to fade, and your lazy photographer doesn't want to spend a lot of time photoshopping them out.
The same goes with your clothes. Don't wear tight jeans or a corset, it's just going to mean an extra hour of non-shooting time, talking about the weather while the lines fade slowly, ever so slowly away.
There's not much more to this sort of shoot. You might consider getting a tan, and you'll certainly want to think about your face and hair. It's up to you to decide how you want to look, but certainly you will want to think about that and take any appropriate action.
There'll be space and time to stretch and warm up if you need to.
Consider Props
There are four main themes to the project. Standing full body, close-up crop, mostly anonymous crop, and the representative pose.
That last one is sort of an action shot that suggests the specific effort that went into creating your body. Maybe it's a bit of pole play, or holding a soccer ball, or lifting a plate, etc. The NFGstudio has a pole, but if you can think of something reasonably small that might be useful or fun, either surprise NFG with it on the day, or discuss it before coming over.
There's a Model Release
You can fill it out in advance or when you get here. It mostly covers two things: permission to show your images, and how you want to be identified and tagged (or not). It's pretty straightforward, and you're welcome to discuss it with NFG before signing anything.
Preferably before shooting anything too. If we do a shoot and then you decide, hmm, never mind, NFG is going to leave you a scathing review.
The Shoot & the Images
Expect everything to take about 90 minutes. It might be less, it might be more, but not by a lot.
When it's done, low-res proofs will be put online in a gallery. These are free for you to keep and share (with conditions). You'll also get two high-res edited shots of your choice to keep. Simply pick them from the proofs gallery and let NFG know which ones you've selected. Normally the proofs will be available in 24 hours, the edited shots a few days after you pick 'em.

Other Stuff
There's some generic shoot information right here. You might want to cast a quick eye over it, see if there's anything else you want to bring (water, a snack, etc). This shoot won't be as intensive as a normal shoot might, but there could still be some useful hints.
Finally
Photography is not perfect. Sometimes things go wrong, sometimes the photographer goes wrong. In every shoot there are bound to be shots that are blurry or bad in ways that cannot be fixed. If and when this happens, NFG is very, very sorry.

It's going to be awesome. Thanks for signing up. ^_^
