The question, not even phrased as a question, was 'Strong looking women in our society'.
I wanted some freeform comments, without leading anyone to a specific answer.
It seems to me that we're increasingly celebrating strong women, but I wanted a wider view.

As a raging feminist I love seeing women come into their strength in all areas.
Physically strong women are inspirational because I know the effort and determination it takes to maintain strength.

Strong looking women aren't as celebrated as skinny looking women.
Some dickhead people choose to feel challenged by them and need to find a way to make themselves feel better, and the only way they can think of to do that is to tear them down.

I have had the unfortunate experience of dating someone who told me that I was "too ripped" and my abs were "off-putting".
It's not my fault you have a dad bod and crippling insecurity, Matt.

I LOVE how strong looking women are being celebrated!
We have always had an image to strive for, set by society. Of course, many of us feel obliged to look a certain way, to fit in.
I had my fair share of negativity about 'losing my femininity due to weight training' (if you see a pic of me... I can't understand what they're on about either!).
Which I always ignored of course (because that's not how physiology works!).
If you want to be strong, feel strong and look strong, then do your thing girl! It's liberating!

I enjoy being a strong looking woman. I love having "lady guns".
A strong physique is a status symbol - it shows discipline and dedication. It can't be borrowed, it must be earned and worked on daily.

I think it's brilliant that currently women are going for a stronger, athletic body type. It means to me that we are leaning towards a healthier outlook on how women look.
--Elle
Hot and insipiring AF! It will display not only physique, but also how committed and strong you mentally are.
--Joana
Strength comes in all shapes and sizes, forms and figures.
I don't believe "skinny" equals strong. I don't believe "fat" equals unhealthy. I also don't believe a body should be the only representation of strength, but the physical presence of strength can (and often does) say a lot about a person's ability to test themselves.
Strong women need to be represented, because we've spent long enough being pigeon-holed as delicate, small and ill equipped.

Women are just getting stronger and sexier.
--Melanie
Strong women are sometimes seen as a threat or 'too manly'. Believe in yourself and know your worth.
Once you know your worth and have self belief you won't care what other people think of you.

I am proud of the way I look. Confidence comes from within and I believe my feminity shows in my strength.
Society in general is beginning to embrace strong and healthy bodies.
