A few years ago before starting pole, I would have never done something like this. I would have hated looking at the photos and would not stop criticizing all my flaws.
Pole and its supporting community made me strong, fit and have a completely different perspective at self-love.
Being a part of this project was an awesome experience!
It got me out of my comfort zone which is something I wanted to achieve with this and it showed me how truly amazing the human body can look while in action. (And how truly scary it can also look haha)
I think getting others I knew to join in the project was more satisfying for me. Having worked with NFG before, comfort with who I am isn't hard.
I wanted others to experience the freedom that comes with embracing what their body is. This kind of opportunity isn't afforded to every one and should always be embraced when presented.
I really enjoyed being a part of the Pantheon project.
Being nude was a little confronting at first but I found the experience really empowering. I never thought that I'd be doing a nude physique shoot (on a pole) at 44!
I was excited to represent lifting, and to show that you don't have to be lean and skinny to love your body.

Being a part of this project was an amazing experience!
To be included in a project which displays such a wide variety of strong women was an eye opening experience - I was able to see the different ways women are strong.

I would literally do this 100 times over.
I've never seen myself in my strength this way, and the way NFG can portray a person's relationship to their body is pretty unbelievable.

I mainly wanted to do this to step outside my comfort zone and do something I would never think of doing.
Now seeing all the strong women involved is amazing. Go us!

As someone who is a little insecure, initially identifying myself as a strong woman was challenging.
I think I struggle with confidence vs arrogance. Once I got past that part I loved it!

Being part of this project is something I never thought I'd be able to do or be comfortable enough to do.
It has been empowering, liberating and challenging.
A book is being considered. If you'd like to hear about it, or discuss the project, (or sign up for the next one!) please do use this form, or check out NFGphoto on social media.
