It was basically shades of orange because, on this cold winter&#8217;s eve, I had illuminated the scene with a pair of 1000W halogen worklights.  They make really good heaters too.  I brought the more appealing colours out with some manual adjustment of the white balance, making it significantly cooler.  After that, cropping and editing brought the image from its raw state to a finished image.<\/p>\n<div id=\"twenty20-1\" class=\"twenty20\" style=\"width: 100% !important; clear: both;\"><div class=\"twentytwenty-container twenty20-1 \"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nfgphoto.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/NFG_8136-4.jpg\" alt=\"Before image\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nfgphoto.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/NFG_8136.jpg\" alt=\"After image\" \/><\/div><\/div>\n<p>But, two years later, I went to release the image and thought I could do better.  This new version focused entirely on the shadows.  The darkest darks were made slightly darker, but most of the shadows were brightened, and given a pink tint.  I added a little extra brightening to her hair, to bring out the detail.<\/p>\n<p>I feel like this version is less&#8230;  And I struggle for the right word here.  It&#8217;s less <i>dirty<\/i>.  It feels softer and I think it makes the model look less&#8230;  I dunno.
