For a shot like this, my focus is divided between the subject&#8217;s skin, and the overall image feel.  What works for one doesn&#8217;t always work for the other, so I alternate between up close and zoomed out views.  And you can play with it forever, tweaking and sliding, tuning the image a hundred different ways.
