|I first discovered the Brisbane Parkour scene a few days after buying my first DSLR camera. I wasn't planning to be a photographer, I was still writing video game books and magazine articles, but I liked photography and kept outgrowing my cameras.
And there, on a street in Brisbane's CBD, were these crazy kids jumping over a concrete block over and over in strange and stylish ways. I asked if I could take a few pictures, they let me, and they were terrible.
So I posted my execrable works on their forum, and asked if I could come back and try again, try and work out what I did wrong.
And then again, and again, until I started sucking a little less. Now, six years later, I don't see the guys as often as I used to, but I owe an awful lot to all of them.
